Who we need

Our Group Client Director is looking for a proactive, highly organised individual with strong coordination capability, to build and lead our business-critical Bid Management function. The person in this role will have successfully supported the effective management of all bidding and presentational activity in order to deliver winning, client specific tender responses to support our sustainable growth ambition. Overall, with responsibility for managing the production and coordination of proposals and submissions, you will support us in winning new business opportunities with potential and existing clients.

What you’ll do 

  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end management of single and multi-product, cross-segment bidding activities.
  • Deliver high quality, well-drafted, best in class and compelling tenders
  • Support the B2B client management teams by scrutinising new tender opportunities across our identified target client segments, ensuring fit with Avado’s capabilities and purpose.
  • Develop and curate a library of market-leading bid and pitch resources
  • Ensure the timely completion of RFI/RFP responses, acting as a proactive conduit with relevant subject matter experts within the business to gather required information.
  • Support the internal sales process required for opportunity (opportunity review group, pipeline reporting, bid process reporting.)
  • Support client requirement analyses, maintaining an in-depth knowledge of products to fulfil client needs.
  • Assist internal teams (e.g. Client Success) with client on-boarding where required to ensure consistent and rigorous implementation of the Statement of Work.
  • Be involved in workshops/proof of concept activities to assist sales in closing deals. 
  • Build relationships and ensure all stakeholders involved adhere to and meet strict deadlines, providing progress updates as required
  • Work cohesively with Client Management, Marketing, Product Strategy, Product Development, Learning Experience/Delivery, Finance and legal advisors to ensure a variety of input is obtained and incorporated.
  • Coordinate the client management functions to enable development of formal sales/account plans and proposals.
  • Negotiate and communicate NDA and RFP terms with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively seek out, identify and implement improvements to win rates.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal; demonstrably able to translate commercial and learning outcomes into compelling client bids, constantly striving for improvements.
  • Proactive, flexible, with a keen eye for detail.
  • High level of commercial acumen, and outstanding organisational skills.
  • Experienced in the provision and management of MI (e.g. pipelines, win rates, bid/no-bid stats, etc.)
  • Demonstrable understanding of the component which comprise the design, build and implementation of experience-based client solutions.
  • Project management.
  • Service and contract management.
  • Highly collaborative and strong networking capability.
  • Any experience in operating within a Challenger selling environment would be beneficial

In 'normal times' we also hosted regular 'Learning Days' (and these are subject to review now that we work in a more 'hybrid' way.)     - We get 25 days holiday, plus relevant public holidays wherever you are based;

    - This increases to 26 days after 2 years' service, and to 27 days after 4 years' service;

    - We get our birthday off every year;

    - We can buy up to five additional holidays per year in January, subject to the salary sacrifice rules in place at the time.
