About the role
Working collaboratively across the business and within the People Experience team, the People Experience Advisor is pivotal in driving our culture of success and belonging through the provision of well-articulated advice on people matters. Balancing a person-centred approach with commerciality and compliance with employment law, this role leads on the sound execution of a number of people programmes, whilst ensuring a remarkable level of accountability in service provision.

Who do we need
This role would suit someone with a service-oriented style and approach, with an ability to “listen first, advise second”. Successful candidates will demonstrate prowess in balancing empathy with commerciality. The People Experience Advisor will be adept at articulating complex legal matters into everyday, comprehensible English, jargon-free, for a mixed-experience audience. Additionally, the successful candidate will have demonstrably extensive experience in building out policy frameworks, end-to-end administration processes that are experience-first, and the following capabilities are absolutely essential:
• Meticulous attention to detail,
• An enviable ability to ask great (transformative and investigative) questions,
• An ability to facilitate workshops on complex topics,
• The ability to work completely autonomously and collaboratively,
• Influencing skills,
• Sound communication skills, written and verbal,
• Sound administration skills, 
• Solid employment law knowledge, ideally in multiple jurisdictions,
• Demonstrated report-writing capability, 
• A collaborative style, 
• Advantageously, a background in psychology.

What you’ll do 
• Collaborate with the Head of Leadership & Belonging and Head of Performance & Reward on building a future-proof yet evolutionary ‘policy framework’ that is symbiotically with the Avado culture ‘now’ and culture ‘future (in collaboration with Compliance.)  
• Iterate existing people processes, except for recruitment and on-boarding, to drive a greater sense of belonging in our culture and virtual working environment. 
• Lead on the building out of people processes for leaders that enables both the Leadership Outcomes (as iterated) and Purpose/Values Deliverables.
• Support leaders at all levels in key performance management processes, people relations and ‘policy’ interpretation. - Bring actionable insight gained to inform PX plans and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
• Collaborate with People Systems & Data Analyst to build and maintain the PX Business Intelligence’ as relevant to role activities (e.g. people relations, performance management, inclusion/belonging, engagement, etc.) 
• Identify opportunities to iterate existing PX assets (e.g. Leadership Outcomes, coaching programmes, developmental activities, communications) for business gain.
• Lead PX process and outputs audit processes to ensure ‘right first time’ and ‘easy to work with’ key results are being achieved.
• Iterate and maintain the PX ‘infrastructure’ e.g. MS O365 automation, SharePoint, template letters, in a way that is completely culturally appropriate – inclusive, legally compliant, professional and in the appropriate tone of voice.
• Provide escalatory support for On-boarding Coordinator and Systems/Data Analyst, on all team related processes, ways of working, and practices.

• Reports directly to Head of Leadership & Belonging
• Reports indirectly to Chief People Officer and Head of Performance & Reward
• Has influence over and is influenced by People Systems & Data Analyst, Group Compliance, BC Legal, legislative environment, HR/People networks
